Kya hai koi (Is there someone) ??

Kya hai koi aisi awaaz, jo bhed de sannate ko,
Kya hai koi aisa shabd, jo shabd de iss naate ko.
Kya hai koi aisi moorat, jise poojne ko dil chahe,
Kya hai koi aisa shaks jo iss dil mein bas jaye.

Kya hai koi aisi kitab jo uska chehra dikhaye,
Kya hai koi  aisa sailab jisme doob jaane ko mann lalchaye,
Kya hai koi aisa phool jo fir uski yaad dilaye,
Kya hai koi aisa geet jise hum bhi gungunaye.

Kya hai koi aisi baat jo hum auro se chupaye,
Kya hai koi aisa jurm jiski hum bhi sazaa paye,
Kya hai koi aisa waqt jab waqt bhi tham jaye,
Kya hai koi aisa dard jisey yeh aankhein bataye.

Kya hai koi aisi mannat jise shiddat se dil chahe,
Kya hai koi aisi amanat jise dil apne dil se lagaye.
Kya hai koi aisi adaa jispe hum mit jaye,
Kya hai koi aisa junoon jo fanna kar jaye??

Kashish

ek kashish hai, ek sasak hai uski aankhon mein,
Khud ko chupati, pehaliyaan bujhati hai woh baaton mein.
Jaane kya kasak hai uski adaayon mein,
ki khud hi khicha chala jata hu main uski bahoon mein.

Darti hai , ghabrati hai, aur thoda sa sharmati hai,
Massomiyat hai chehre mein, par jaane kyu chupati hai.
Kehti hai hu badi nidar aur chalti hai apne path par,
par dhoonde woh kuch jawaab raah raah dagar dagar.

Hain bahut dard chupa mann mein, par fir bhi muskurati hai,
Jeevan hai ek kadhor sangharsh, khud ko woh samjhati hai.
Naraaz hai tujhse wo aye Maula, par nahi tujhe dikhlati hai,
Tunhe jo diya hai jaam, bina dekhe piye jaati hai.

Food for thought- Literally!!

                                                                   Food for thought!!
Potter fights Voldemort, Batman stopes the Joker,
You can be a superhero, if you help fight hunger!!

On a dark hillside road, with not a mortal soul far or near,
A lonely cat with a sweet little kitten walked on with a lot of fear.
Rains were splashy, the path unknown, with no shelter or food in sight,
The mother puss surrendered and layeth there but the kitten didnt give up the fight.
He ran up hill but slided down to end up back on street,
He tried his best to find for both, something that they could eat.

I wish,I could say here that an angel appeared and helped these suffering souls, but the reality is not always kind to its subjects.

Please help all those in need of food by playng your part in any of the following ways:-

1) By Donating to World Food Programme . "www.wfp.org"
2) By Becoming members or volunteers to spread the word around in this war against hunger.
3) This is the easiest one and perhaps a way for each one of us to contribute.Go to "www.freerice.com" and answer simple quiz questions. For every correct answer you give, 10 grains of rice are donated to help end hunger.

Is this silence that I hear?

Symphonies don't matter, it's the silence that I hear,
Courage doesn't matter, coz I can feel the inborn fear.
Distance doesn't matter, since no matter you far or near,
the memories still last, their sight always so clear.

Hopes don't matter, as the life keeps changing gear,
leaving behind an eye, tired & weary with a tiny tear.
Obligations don't matter, despite oaths and swears,
popping the thought again that is this silence that I hear.

Eyes bleed out thoughts which the mind can never stear,
but the rust won't let go, no matter how deep you smear.
words refuse to come out with tongue full of despair,
Can this be a sound in the woods? or is it still the silence that I hear?

FountainHead- A moment of brief thought !!

“The upper part of the cortlandt building had tilted and hung still while a broken streak of sky grew slowly across it. As if the sky was slicing the building in half. Then the streak became turquoise-blue light. Then there was no upper part, but only window-frames and girders flying through the air, the building spreading over the sky, a long, thin tongue of red shooting from the centre, another blow of a fist, and then another, a blinding flash and the glass panes of the skyscrapers across the river glittering like spangles.”

This text from Ayn Rand’s “The Fountainhead” is indeed one of my favorites as it gauges the extreme passion and inner strength that made a man (Howard Roark) reduce one of his finest creations to ashes and dust, just to save its integrity. It depicts how even after repeated tries to paralyze a man’s freedom of thought and independence of intellect, they could not conquer his soul.

I have met a lot of people belonging to many schools of thoughts for Roark’s such behavior and believe me; each one had a quiver full of arguments to shoot. Some people label Roark as an extremist, some fanatic and some plain idiot, but as I see it, the mortal had always looked beyond the horizon, experienced the ever joyful and clear sunshine, tasted the fresh morning dew and wanted that purity to sustain in his own creations. The slightest impurity in his designs ripped him off the thing he valued the most- "his originality" and made him realize that “Rulers of men are not egotists. They create nothing. They exist entirely through the persons of others. Their goal is in their subjects in the activity of enslaving. They are as dependant as the beggar, the social worker and the bandit.”

He realized that cortlandt was a double monster. In form and in implication and he had to blast both to settle the conflict in the city, his heart and his soul and thus he took back what he once gave to the people.
I don’t support any actions or take sides but I often wonder, was he wrong in what he did, or was he not? Anyways, this is my personal opinion and as they say, personal opinions don’t really matter in this world. OR DO THEY???

Nirvana- Really

With all the atrocities and horrors that our world is facing today, I try to pen down the feelings of someone desperately in search of peace.

“As twilight approaches, some thoughts rattle my mind,
why can’t I find peace no matter how much I find.
The gloomy shades of the sky now make my heart ache,
and I wonder if my own existence is a truth or is it just fake.

I remember none for whom I must really care,
in this world of darkness and full of despair.
The ugly shadows of the dreaded past still haunt me at night,
imprisoning my thoughts no matter how much I fight.

With great courage as I look down from the sky,
the cruel sight of this world pokes and blinds my eye.
Yes, I am the CREATOR, the master of all the scrolls,
But often I wonder, where did your hearts go and where are your souls? “

World to Defy!!

"I stay up long nights I dont know why,
the stars gaze at me from their world so high.
The drops do fall with the world to defy,
but not from the sky, they fall from my eye!!

The words unspoken although the heart really try,
the stories, the places, I know it's all a lie,
symphonies, petals, all these the mind now deny,
But I still say that I dont cry.
I see those drops again falling from high,
only they fall from my eyes, not from the sky!!"
